the ship in which i sailed lies sunk,
my men, dead drunk
the treasure's gone with the rum
the mast had split
we wouldn't fix it,
those pirates could not get it done
still you stand here,
this cliff is sure sheer
in this first final embrace
the moon can shine,
but your, still mine,
pulse quickens the pace
i can feel the romance
one last dance
to take my feet
this spell you had me under
storms full of thunder
to make my heart
leap
no way, we're wrecks on rocks,
forget ticks tocks,
you've taken the time
i know its night
white rock shines bright
let's not rush caroline
spare our few moments to kiss
no doubt pure bliss
but we both know it can't last
our days are done
well, it's been fun
fun days are in the past
i can feel the romance
one last dance
to take my breath
no pirate flag to show
parlé, god, i must go
i love you past death
one last dance
one last dance
leap
now the waves wash my blood away
we hold hands on the dawning of day
smiles on faces, and deadly embrace of the sea
embrace it now for me

Little leaf
Little leaf,
Underneath my shoe,
I long to be, like, you.
With wind you roam,
Never knowing home,
I wish for freedom, too
Sure you'll never see the sea,
But the sea's not all that,
You can float for centuries,
But you'd never come back.
Still the sky's the limit,
There’s nothing to hold you down,
Except the boot of an old man walking,
He can only walk on ground.

Little leaf,
Underneath my shoe,
I long to be, like, you.
With wind you roam,
Never knowing home,
I wish for freedom too
You can walk on man or mountain,
You can float for miles or more,
But if you go near the ocean,
You will never find the shore.
Maybe the sea is for you,
With whale song to listen to,
And the shouts of city are gone,
Except the screams of passing crew.

On an ocean liner,
Feeling finer yesterday.
Battle cruiser,
Who’s the one to say...?
